The radishes are in full swing and grow so fast that it makes the garden look as if it is tended and fertile. Ruby and I decided to try the manure with the broccoli and to our disappointment it burned the roots up. Thinking manure was some kind of miraculous fertilizer, I also combined it with the soil of my flower bed, and it has really helped them bloom. Ruby likes flowers but she is really more interested in the vegetables. She will not let me put flowers in the vegetable garden. I think I love the flowers more.
